In early may we commenced another housing site at Hailgate, Howden for our client Linden Homes. The site comprises of some 80 houses which will all require 4 cleans each prior to occupation. The first cleans were to the 2 showhomes and marketing suites prior to the open day where the opening was carried out by a well known tv celebrity. The open day went smoothly without any problems.

The work will involve jet washing of all the external cladding, internal/external windows cleaning, cleaning of all high level girders,as well as the general cleaning of all rooms, toilets, corridors, gymnasiums and swimming pools etc.

Our client Simpson (york) ltd have invited us to submitt a quotation to carry out a high level clean of their joinery shop. If succesfull the clean will involve the use of scissor lifts and vaccumimg all the sawdust that has gathered on all the beams and girders ect.

We have been approached by Crosby Lend Lease to clean their marketing suite and showhomes at Hungate, York on a weekly basis. Following on from this we hope to gain phase 2 of the development for the build cleans.

Pro-Clene have chosen the RSPCA as it's chosen charity for 2011 onwards. A regular monthly donation will be forwarded to them as well as offering our help in Fundraising and collection of items required by the Dogs Home and Charity Shop in York. In November Pro-Clene rolled out the last cleans to the newly re-branded Alliance & Leicester/Santander branches in the Midlands.

The clean involved cleaning 5 no floors comprising of offices,communal areas and student and staff toilets.Hard floor cleaning was also carried out to existing floors to bring them up to their former condition.

One of our construction clients awarded Pro-Clene the cleaning contract for the Builder’s clean to Phoenix House, York College of Ripon St John. The clean involved internal and external windows cleaning, the cleaning of all offices, toilets areas and communal areas. A Sparkle clean was also carried out prior to handover to the client. The building was handed over in pristine condition and the client was very happy with the cleanliness of the building.
THE TUKE CENTRE, THE RETREAT.

One of our client W.A Hare and Son Ltd completed alterations and extension works to the Tuke Centre in York. On completion of the building works Pro-Clene were asked to clean the building on completion. The clean had to be carried out working around the client as they were already working in the building. It was important to get the timing of the clean right so that the client could carry out their daily duties without any interruption, this worked very well and the client was very pleased with the standard of cleaning that we carried out.

May has been a very busy month working for the house builders and carrying out a lot of commercial carpet cleaning to offices and shops etc.
Pro-Clene have also put out a large quotation for the Builders clean of Phase 2 of a new student accommodation block in York. Phase 1 was completed by us two years ago and we are in the process of quoting for the end of tenancy clean of this phase while the students are away on summer holidays.

In March Pro-Clene started to receive it’s first painting and decorating work for various clients. We offer a free carpet clean to any room of the clients choosing on completion . All our new clients are very pleased with this duel service and will be coming to Pro-Clene on a regular basis for further work to be carried out.
CONTSTRUCTION CLEANING
Construction cleaning has been fairly quiet this month but we have been very busy pricing out a lot of work which hopefully will lead to a busy spell for the company.
FOUNTAINS ABBEY, RIPON, NORTH YORKSHIRE.
At very short notice Pro-Clene were asked to carry out Builder’s final cleans to 5no newly constructed holiday cottages for one of our construction clients on behalf of the National Trust. Our client thanked us for our quick response in carrying out the work.
RHS HARLOW CARR GARDENS, HARROGATE.
During February we have been in the process of carrying out a builder’s final clean to a new visitor/teaching building at Harlow Carr Gardens. This cleaning project should be completed in early March.
CHEMISTRY LABORATORIES, UNIVERSITY OF YORK.
During February Pro-Clene have successfully carried out a Builder’s final clean to a new office re-furbishment and the cleaning, sealing and polishing of the Linoleum flooring to one of the laboratories.
After a lot of time and effort put in by our staff we have forwarded our final submission for Chas Accreditation of which we are very confident in achieving.
SOUTH MILFORD MEDICAL CENTRE, LEEDS.
In January Pro-Clene carried out a full builder’s final clean to the newly constructed extension of South Milford Medical practice. The extension was built to form a new dispensary and offices.
C.H.A.S. ACCREDITATION
(Construction Health & Safety Accreditation)
During January, Pro-Clene has been setting new systems in place with a view to be accredited by CHAS by the end of February 2010. Being CHAS accredited, we hope, will give our company the edge over our competitors who have no such qualifications.
January saw the launch of our new Painting and Decorating division.
This was set up to offer our clients a combined painting and cleaning package that will SAVE MONEY and give them a higher standard of workmanship.
A FREE CARPET CLEAN (areas vary depending on size of job) is offered to our clients on completion of the decotating/cleaning.
ABERTAY UNIVERSITY -
DUNDEE.
Pro-Clene is in the process of tendering for a Builder’s final clean and Sparkle clean to Abertay University in Dundee.
If successful the clean will involve the cleaning of all external cladding and windows to a height of 30 metres and will involve a possible road closure to accommodate for the large powered access that we will have to put on site to carry out the external cleaning. Internally there are 498 bedrooms and shower pods to clean as well as 86 kitchens plus corridors and lifts to 10 floors.
PERSIMMON HOMES -
YORK.
A development of 172 apartments at The Forum, Heworth Green, York has now been finally completed after approximately 3 years of cleaning.
LEEDS.
One of our clients Stewart Shopfitting have moved into their new offices and factory. Pro-Clene was asked to carry out a full clean to all the office areas following the refurbishment. The work was carried out to the full satisfaction of our client.

Pro-Clene have also been busy in December carrying out builders cleans to newly constructed houses in Heddon, Hull, Harrogate, Selby and York.
HARRISON DEVELOPMENTS - ESCRICK PARK - YORK
The Escrick Business Park was finally cleaned both internally and externally. The park consists on offices and light industrial units for sale. The clean involved general office cleaning internally and the cleaning of all externall windows and frames. The object of the clean was to make them look at their best to potential buyers. The client was very pleased with the results.
MORRISONS SUPERMARKET - YORK
In November Pro-Clene were asked to do a final through the night clean of the supermarket. We had already carried out the Builders final clean of the supermarket but our client asked us to re-clean all the floors, shelving, till areas etc now that the shelves had been fully stacked. The work was completed in two night shifts.
C of E PRIMARY SCHOOL - ESCRICK - YORK
We were asked by one of our construction clients to carry out Builder’s Final Cleans to two classrooms prior to re-occupation by the school. The school were very pleased with the very high standard of clean that was carried out and all the work was carried out within the timescale required.
HARLOW CARR GARDENS - HARROGATE.
Pro-Clene have been awarded the Builder’s clean to a new visitor centre that is due to be completed by mid January 2010. The before and after pictures will be shown in our January newsletter.
DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL - LOCKERBIE ACADEMY SCHOOLS - SCOTLAND
Pro-Clene and our business partners Norham Cleaning of Glasgow are in the early stages of tendering for a Builder’s Final clean and Sparkle clean to The Primary and Secondary schools in Lockerbie.
If succesful the cleaning works will commence at the end of January 2010 and will involve the cleaning of all windows and frames, classrooms, offices, toilet and shower areas, corridors, halls and therapy pool.
We have yet again had a good month cleaning for the house builder’s with a lot of new properties being sold prior to Christmas. Let’s hope this continues in the New Year.

We were asked by one of our construction clients, Stainforth Construction of Bradford to carry out a builders clean and a Sparkle clean to the newly refurbished shop floor. The clean required a Hygiene clean to the freezer units, the scrubber drying of the shop floor and the cleaning of ceiling tiles lighting. On the final day the Sparkle clean was carried out from 5am to give a handover at 10am. The work went very well and our client was happy with the performance of our staff and the high quality of our cleaning.
PFI - BIOLOGY LECTURE THEATRE - YORK
Pro-Clene were asked at very short notice to carry out a full clean to the Biology Lecture Rooms at the University of York. Our client and the University were very impressed at our performance and efficiency in carrying out the work at such short notice and to a tight deadline.
HOUSE BUILDERS
Apart from our large commercial cleaning projects Pro-Clene have been kept very busy throughout the North East carrying out Builder’s cleans, Re-Cleans and Sparkle cleans for the house builders. One of the cleans involved completing some 120 cleans on an apartment block in York. Other sites worked on in October were in Hull, Selby, Leeds and Bridlington.
Due to the continuing volume of work Pro-Clene have moved into larger offices and have had to purchase more vehicles to enable us to efficiently continue to follow the construction industry.
YORK AMBULANCE
STATION
In September the York ambulance station is relocating into a new purpose built premise . Pro-Clene were asked to carry out the builders final clean .The clean involved the cleaning of all office, garaging areas, communal areas and the cleaning of the windows and frames internally and externally. All the work was completed on time to the clients satisfaction.
KIRKLEES PRIMARY CARE TRUST ( PCT )
We have been asked by one of our clients William Birch & Sons based in York to submit a fixed price quotation for a builders final clean to the new offices for the Kirklees PCT in Huddersfield. If succesful Pro-Clene will have until mid December to complete the clean to handover standard to our client
BALFOUR BEATTY
After successfully carrying out a daily site facility clean for Balfour Beatty whilst they were carrying out alterations to the Hopgrove roundabout on the A64 near York Pro-Clene have been awarded another site facility clean on another major roadworks project on the M62 (J25/28) near Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire. The facilities comprise of some 40 cabins with 60 office staff working in them.
BIG IRONS IN THE FIRE
Pro-Clene are in the early stages of tendering for a 33 story commercial and residential development in Sheffield. The project comprises of Commercial shopping areas to the Ground floor and 230 apartments to the remainding 32 floors. If succesful the clean will include the cleaning of all external windows.
In September Pro-Clene have formed an alliance with H2o Facility Services of York and Norham Cleaning of Glasgow to work alongside Pro-Clene on large cleaning projects nationally.
In September we have noticed that yet again the housing market is slowly picking up and we have received a constant flow of bookings for the month for the cleaning of properties prior to occupation. Let’s hope it continues.
We were asked by one of our clients Simpson Construction to clean phase 1 of a refurbishment at Ashville College, Harrogate. The work involved cleaning all the newly refurbished classrooms and the cleaning of all internal windows and frames. The client was very pleased with the cleaning of phase 1 and two further phases will be due for cleaning shortly.
After around 4 months cleaning on and of Pro-Clene are in the final stages of cleaning the a6 Hub at RAF Leeming, North Yorkshire. The build was completed by Morgan Ashurst Plc and is due to be handed over to the Ministry of Defence before the end of August. In preparation for the handover Pro-Clean have sealed all the linoleum flooring and have Scrubber dried the entire warehouse flooring again (Some 6,500 square metres).
We were asked by one of our clients Spotless Clean of York to carry out a Builder’s Final clean to a newly constructed Co-Operative store in Staithes, Cleveland. The building was constructed by Stainsforth Construction of Bradford and was cleaned to handover standard to our client.
In August we cleaned Phase 2 of Bootham School, York for Simpson Construction of York leaving another two phases to be cleaned. Pro-Clene has worked closely with the site management to schedule the work into a very tight timescale. The client is happy with our performance on site.
In these uncertain times Pro-Clene has noticed an upturn in the construction of new houses and apartments. We have seen more orders being placed for cleaning and more enquiries coming out to us than over the last 12 months. Let’s hope this continues for everyone who works in the construction industry.
BEDE SIXTH FORM COLLEGE
In July Pro-Clene succesfully carried out a builders final clean and 'Sparkle Cleane' to Bede Sixth Form College in Billingham, Teeside. The college was constructed by Morgan Ashurst PLC. The cleans took over a month to complete and the construction schedule meant that Pro-Clene had to work to a very tight deadline. Both Morgan Ashurst and the client were very pleased with our company's performance.
We carried out a complete sanitisation, full carpet and deodourisation clean at The Retreat Hospital in York. The clean was carried out in preparation for the moving in of the patients from another ward prior to alterations being carred out by one of our construction clients. All went well and the patients were moved in with relative ease.
Simpson Construction of York are currently carrying out extensive alterations at Bootham School in York and Pro-Clene successfully carried out the builders final clean to phase 1 with 3 further phases to be cleaned at the end of August.
In early July we were asked by William Birch & Sons Ltd of York and Leeds to clean ten newly constructed industrial units at Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire. The job involved thoroughly cleaning all hygiene wall cladding throughout as well as other areas including windows, internally and externally.
The site manager said it was the best builders clean he'd ever seen!
A6 HUB RAF LEEMING - NORTH YORKSHIRE
This project is currently being constructed by Morgan Ashurst Plc and has been under construction for approximately 18 months. When completed this building will be a communications centre for the RAF. Pro-Clene have successfully completed a Builder’s Final clean to the building which included the cleaning of all office areas, high level cleaning to the internal warehouse roof areas and the Scrubber Drying of the concrete Floor slab plus the cleaning of all internal/external windows and frames. Because of the professionalism of Pro-Clene on this contract we have now been asked to tender for further Morgan Ashurst sites nationwide.
TEVA UK LTD - CASTLEFORD
Teva UKL is A new Pharmaceutical Distribution centre that has been set up in Glasshoughton, Castleford. Pro-Clene of York were asked by another York based cleaning company, Spotless Clean Ltd if we could clean all internal high level cleaning of all racking, beams, Girders, Cladding and piping etc. Pro-Clene staff were working to a height of 15 metres with the use of powered access. The cleaning of the building took 4 weeks to complete and the client is very pleased.
PERSIMMON HOMES / CHARLES CHURCH
Pro-Clene has completed yet another busy month carrying out builders cleans for two of the major house builder’s. These sites vary from 5 to 10 house sites upwards and apartment blocks of 40-50 apartments per block. All these were cleaned to handover standard and the customers were able to move straight into and not have to clean a thing.
